Mongo Database Administrator/Engineer

Zoom is seeking a Sr. DBA/DBE with experience in managing MongoDB and DynamoDB primarily, and also has experience in MySQL to join our world class team. You will be working with other DBAs and engineers to implement solutions for database related projects and tasks.Responsibilities• Deploying and managing MongoDB clusters, replica sets, shards, etc.• Monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and backing up MongoDB.• MongoDB Database design, deployment, maintenance, upgrade, and patching management• Managing and support DynamoDB as well as MySQL environments• Providing supports to DevOps and Service Engineers to solve customers' issues• Develop and enforce architectural governance, database standards and best practices• Act in incident management to resolve active incidents• Working on projects, tickets, deployments, and releases, etc.• Participate in team weekly on-call rotation and monthly deployment rotation• Be available off-hour occasionally to meet and work with offshore engineersRequirements:• 5+ years of solid hands-on experience in managing MongoDB 6.x/5.x or above in Linux environments as well as experience in MCS, OpsManager.• Deep understanding of MongoDB and/or NoSQL technologies, load balancing, and HA.• Extensive knowledge and experience in managing and support AWS DynamoDBs.• Extensive DBA experience in all facets of DBA tasks such as database design, installation, backup/recovery, performance tuning, troubleshooting, patching, and upgrading in both Cloud and on-premises environments.• Expert in MongoDB or NoSQL schema and cluster topology design.• Good knowledge and experience with MySQL administration is a plus.• Hands on automation experience with Python, Perl, or Shell scripting, etc.• Forward thinking, self-motivated and a strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a broad scope of responsibilities.• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent related experience.• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Salary Range or On Target Earnings:Minimum:$94,600.00Maximum:$218,700.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locationsAt Zoom, we offer a window of at least 5 days for you to apply because we believe in giving you every opportunity.
