Senior Operations Manager April 2020 — Current time
About the role This was a startup insurance marketing company when I joined, consisting of the owner, an accountant and myself. I was contracted to help them setup a CRM/business platform, Enrollment123, including setting up the heirarchies for agencies. I was overperforming considerably, to the point where I was converted to a fulltime real employee and tasked with everything from consulting on new projects, managing said projects from conception to implementation, developing processes and policies regarding the projects and reviewing/auditing the projects after implementation to ensure they continue to operate as expected. We hired on sales executives, customer service companies, Third Party Administrator companies, a tech company to build a custom platform for our business, and more. There isn't a single part of this company I haven't touched in some fashion, everything from all of the customer service early on (we didn't get a 'real' customer service until 6 months in...) to accounting (commissions, payables, some budgeting), and I was offered the ability to basically select my title. I chose Operations Manager because I felt like thats exactly what I was doing; I was involved in all operational processes involved in the company. While some of the foundational requirements have been ironed out and we have onboarded new personell to handle many tasks and collaborate with, inevitably I knew 'something' about 'everything'. After a couple of years, i adopted the 'Senior' aspect of the Senior Operations Manager to really showcase that I was the subject matter expert in all of our operational ventures.
