Community Business Director
August 2021 — Current time
About the role
I am currently being forced to neglect my more fluid, creative instincts as I've settled into a role that requires that I utilize more of my analytical skills. Not that I mind. I get to work with seniors who are choosing to spend their golden years at our community. Holiday by Atria is a chain of independent living communities for seniors, and I work on site as a community accountant/office manager/whatever else comes up. I handle a portion of the finances, and also oversee some of the ops components here at our community. Its meaningful work, and I do enjoy it a great deal. Mainly, I love my schedule (FOUR DAY WORK WEEK!). Cheers to work-life balance.

Retail Sales Associate
April 2020 — July 2021
About the role
After splitting from my son's father, I hit the pavement and juggled a few different hustles. I did Lyft for a short time and other delivery services. I worked part time for a local company called Good Eats Kitchen for a short while. They specialize in meal prep and making wholesome, nourishing food accessible for your average every man/woman/person. I have COVID to thank for my time ending there. I also worked briefly for a company that sells pool supplies and equipment. I decided to group all of these experiences together, since they were all kind of overlapping.

Actor/Model
November 2018 — January 2021
About the role
I worked as an actor and model in the entertainment industry in the greater New Orleans area for a little over two years. I am professionally trained, and attended classes at Launch Model and Talent in Metairie, LA. My most notable gigs include speaking roles on NCIS: New Orleans, print work for Hancock Whitney (bank), and a slew of other commercials and small roles. My absolute favorite memories were made doing short/student films with the film school of Loyola University. Seeing the young talent there create their art, and getting to be an instrumental component in helping them bring their artistic visions to life really sparked up the creative inside of me! I also got to do do some writing for an online magazine a time or two (fembot-mag.com). In short, I love the camera, and love to run my mouth!

Domestic Goddess/Mother/Housewife
September 2015 — April 2020
About the role
I was married at one point. Overall great experience, but things didn't work out, unfortunately. During that time, I stayed home and managed the household and took care of my son. I'm extremely proud of the time I spent nurturing my son, and beyond grateful that I had the opportunity to stay home and focus on raising him. Its a privilege many don't get to have.

Teacher Assistant
January 2013 — June 2013
About the role
I worked as a teacher assistant in a 1st grade classroom. Great experience. It goes without saying how valuable and rewarding working in the education field can be. I hope that our system will begin to invest more in education, and mainly, educators.
