About the role This business (my main business) has been such a joy to watch grow and succeed. My Mom and I are business partners and we not only offer in-home and global feng shui consultations, we have created an entire online learning library with courses, workshops, resources and more. Our signature 6-week course called "Feng Shui Fundamentals" has sold out every time we've launched it (about 15 times over the last 2.5 years). Our most popular offering is partnering with large companies as part of their professional development team teaching employees how to create calm and productive working environments. We've been featured in numerous magazines (including The Spruce, VoyageLA, 805 Living and more), have been interviewed on many podcasts and we're currently almost complete with our official Feng Shui Certification Program for Interior Designers and Realtors. We love hearing our clients rave about the positive changes that occur in their lives after we work together. I'm also a certified Feng Shui Consultant with the International Feng Shui Guild. Co-Founder January 2021 — June 2022

About the role Although I've hosted several women's retreats, The Elevate Retreat is one of my proudest accomplishments. Along with two other co-hosts, I was particularly in charge of the development of the programming, all sales and marketing as well as all communication with speakers and attendees. Not only did I sell out the event, I kept our team on task, organized and on deadline. We didn't miss a mark and had 25 wonderfully happy attendees.

Contract General Manager January 2018 — October 2018

About the role In this contract GM position, I came on board to help streamline the operations of a complicated, multi-location women's retail brand. I also was responsible for day to day operations of the new, local location. I handled strategic planning, revenue forecasting, payroll, talent recruitment/termination all while ensuring that my store was hitting our goals and metrics. I also planned and executed in-store events and promotions including a sold out Summer Soiree with a DJ that allowed us to hit our metrics for the entire month in one day!

Goal Coach/Key Holder June 2014 — June 2016

About the role Not only did I run the retail floor for each of my shifts, I sold the BEANS out of our product. I consistently exceeded goals and metrics and I loved supervising our staff and working with guests to ensure a pleasant shopping experience. I began hosting staff meetings around goal coaching and the company ended up sending me to several different certification programs for goal coaching. I enjoyed traveling to our many different retail locations and leading staff meetings as well.

Director of Client Relations July 2010 — September 2015

About the role For this global SaaS company, I was in charge of not only directing a team of 6, I was responsible for the happiness and success of our 100+ enterprise clients. I worked efficiently with many different teams including Research & Development, Technical & Professional Services as well as reporting to V and C-level executives. This role allowed me to truly become a problem solver. Sometimes, in a customer facing roll, the phone mostly rings when something isn't working properly (something that unfortunately happened fairly often with our software). I was always able to not only put out the fire but leave them with a solution and a smile on their face. Onboarding new clients was also one of my specialities in this role. My employees often said I was the best boss they ever had, and there's simply nothing more wonderful to hear. Last, I created brand new retention and attrition plans for the company. I was awarded employee of the year 2 years in a row and received employee of the month about a dozen times.
