Although I'm currently serving the women's wellness community via yoga and holistic health, nothing makes me more proud than the experience I gained from 8 years of teaching Spanish to kids. Although I am not Latina, my fluency in Spanish has always poised me to welcome people from diverse backgrounds. Last summer I even had the opportunity to teach yoga in Spanish in Mexico. Given my background working with children and with people across different cultures, my priority is always to create safe spaces and safe relationships for the clients I serve and for the people I work with. I'm a superworker, because I'm collaborative, I'm a cheerleader, I know how to serve both as mentor and mentee, and people feel safe and loved around me.
My proudest accomplishment is creating Attune + Align wellness community for women to connect IRL via workshop series, or online in coaching groups. Women enrolled in coaching groups or in workshop series enjoy complimentary access to membership content such as full length yoga practice videos, guided meditation, and holistic nutrition demos. Especially in SF I saw the need for women to connect and network around healthy habits.
Marisa LaValette is the founder of wellness businesses that support the holistic health of women and girls of all ages. Attune + Align is an online wellness community where women connect via virtual coaching groups around at-home spiritual practice. Twice per year Attune + Align women engage in chakra themed workshop series in San Francisco. Attune + Align members enjoy exclusive access to full length online yoga practice videos and holistic nutrition demos. In the same spirit, Happy Hungry Journey instills healthy wellness habits in girls ages 11-14 within which Marisa draws from the experience of her former middle school Spanish teaching career.
