My focus on people and genuine concern for my colleagues professional and personal well-being. My mind works quickly and I solve problems creatively, and strive to do it in a way that makes everyone involved feel empowered and satisfied.
My proudest work accomplishment happened at work, but didn't have to do with my work itself. When I first started my current job 10 years ago, I would work very late to prove that I deserved to be there. After hours, I was the only one there when the cleaning staff came by. I developed a relationship with one of the cleaners, and we chatted in broken English and Spanish. I learned she wanted to become a citizen but didn't feel confident she knew enough English to take the exam. Long story short, I helped her get the services she needed, and a year later, she took her test and got her citizenship!
