Product Marketing Manager

Position Summary

As the Product Marketing Manager at 100%, you will be the specialist on every technical aspect of our high-performance eyewear, goggles, gloves, and gear. Your role is to bridge the gap between product development, sales, marketing, and the end-user, ensuring that racers, enthusiasts, retailers, distributors, press, and consumers understand the performance, innovation, and competitive advantage of our products.

You will be responsible for creating compelling technical content, executing go-to-market strategies, overseeing product training, and ensuring that our messaging is clear, impactful, and engaging across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

Product Expertise & Communication

  • Develop a deep technical understanding of every product, including materials, features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Act as the internal product expert, translating complex technical details into clear, engaging, and benefit-driven messaging.
  • Work closely with athletes, designers, and product managers to extract and refine product knowledge.
  • Present and explain products to sales teams, retailers, distributors, buyers, and press, ensuring they grasp key selling points.
  • Conduct product training sessions for internal teams and external partners.

Marketing & Content Creation

  • Direct and oversee the creation of technical product content (videos, articles, infographics, technical manuals, and web content) that appeals to consumers, racers, sales reps, retailers, and distributors.
  • Develop technical sell sheets, POP displays, and in-store marketing materials tailored to different sales channels.
  • Collaborate with PR and media teams to ensure product messaging is aligned and impactful across press releases, media kits, and interviews.

Sales Enablement & Go-to-Market Execution

  • Build product positioning, messaging, and storytelling frameworks for each new product launch.
  • Work closely with sales teams to create pitch decks, retailer guides, and sales scripts that simplify product differentiation.
  • Develop distributor and dealer training programs to ensure our global partners effectively communicate product value.
  • Support key retail accounts with customized product training, content, and promotional materials.

Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Gather insights from racers, ambassadors, and customers to influence product development and marketing strategies.
  • Work with the product team to ensure consumer feedback is incorporated into future designs and improvements.

Athlete & Community Engagement

  • Partner with sponsored athletes and brand ambassadors to showcase product performance in real-world conditions.
  • Work with the events team to provide technical product demonstrations at races, trade shows, and industry events.

Qualifications & Experience

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Deep passion for sports, motorsports, MTB, and/or performance eyewear -- understands the lifestyle and technical needs of racers and athletes.
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or brand marketing, preferably in the sports, outdoor, or performance industries.
  • Strong technical acumen -- can explain complex product features in a way that resonates with both hardcore racers and casual enthusiasts.
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, and storytelling skills -- comfortable explaining products to large groups, media, and retailers.
  • Strong ability to create technical content, sales tools, and marketing materials (collaborating with design and video teams).
  • Experience with trade shows, product demos, and athlete activations.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, customer feedback, and sales data.
  • Strong organizational skills -- able to manage multiple product launches simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, e-commerce, and social media trends is a plus.

Education & Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Product Management, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Experience with marketing automation, analytics tools, and content management systems.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Ability to shoot, edit, or provide direction for technical product videos is a bonus.

Travel Required: 

  • Yes, as needed. Up to 25% of the time.

Compensation: $85,000 to $110,000 annually. Exempt role not eligible for overtime.
