eCommerce Controller

As an eCommerce Controller at our company, you will oversee the preparation of financial statements, manage the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Your role will also include budgeting, forecasting, and implementing internal controls to safeguard our assets while providing valuable insights into financial performance.

To qualify for the eCommerce Controller role, candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or CMA being preferential. A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in eCommerce or retail, is essential. Experience with ERP accounting systems, eCommerce platforms, and advanced Excel skills further enhance your candidacy.

The eCommerce Controller supports strategic planning by providing accurate financial data that informs decision-making. Your analysis of profitability by SKU and operational KPIs will help leadership understand where to focus efforts for growth and optimization, driving more informed business strategies.

Prior experience with ERP/accounting systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Xero, along with familiarity with eCommerce platforms like Shopify and Amazon Seller Central, is highly preferred. Such experience ensures that you can effectively manage and enhance our financial systems as we scale.

Successful eCommerce Controllers must have a strong analytical mindset with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, organizational prowess, and an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are also critical.
