Job Description

Position Summary

The Sales Supervisor works with management team and vacation specialists to ensure we are providing the best possible customer service to guests.  Includes sales training, call monitoring and coaching. Assists and serves guests with vacation packages including lodging stays, lift tickets, rentals and lessons. This position reports to the Stay Aspen Snowmass Director.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $59,000- $72,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities

  • Observes work procedures of vacation specialists, monitors telephone calls, and reviews completed work to ensure adherence to quality and efficiency standards and to rules and regulations. 
  • Directs, explains, and demonstrates improved work practices and procedures to attain efficient utilization of personnel. 
  • Provide supervision and support Vacation Specials
  • Training, monitoring & coaching 
  • Participate in making operational decisions as a member of the management team
  • Assist in training for vacation specialist, to include vacation packages, creating and maintaining training documents for the department.
  • Daily administrative tasks.
  • Work to establish interoffice policies and procedures for vacation packages and airline bookings.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Hotel reservations or travel agency experience required, min. of 2 years preferred 
  • College degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Local knowledge of Aspen Snowmass and all 4 mountains
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong professional communication skills
  • Proficient software knowledge including Inntopia, Resort Technology Partners (RTP), Hotel Property Management, Revinate(Navis)
  • Proficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing to team members and customers
  • Ability to handle interpersonal and team conflicts in a constructive manner
  • Ability to assess team performance, provide feedback, and implement development plans
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively, empowering teams while maintaining accountability
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills a plus

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required 
  • Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces   
  • Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
