Job Description:

Loader Operator will operate various types of front-end loaders such as but not limited Caterpillar or Kawasaki.  May be working on multiple sites as the need arises.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operates rubber tired or crawler type tractor with attached scoop type bucket on front end. 
  • Excavates and loads excavated materials, loads materials from stockpiles, charges batch plants, and loads trucks. 
  • May oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment. 
  • May perform other related duties such as backfilling trenches/excavations. 
  • May require occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. 
  • Job requires the following motions:  climbing, stretching, driving/steering, sitting, twisting, vibration, riding on rough terrain. 
  • Uses hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers. 
  • May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold weather. 
  • Overtime work may be required. 
  • Requires riding to job sites. 
  • The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

Minimum Qualifications & Training: 

  • One to two years of front-end loader operations.  May train the right candidate.
  • Ability to abide by precise instructions and strict buy necessary safety rules and policies.
  • Must be a reliable/trustworthy team player.
  • Maintain a good attendance and safety record.

Tasks Essential to Job Functions: 

  • Occasional standing and walking required.
  • Ability to work long periods of time while sitting.
  • Ability to operate equipment at recommended speeds and peaks of operation.
  • Must be productive during each shift and be willing to meet the goals that are set.
  • Visual Activity - ability to work with equipment technology.
