Job Description

This role may require periodic travel for offsite video production (approximately once every 1-2 months) 

Biogen’s Corporate Affairs department is seeking a Corporate Brand Content Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for creating digital and video content that includes brand campaigns, social media graphics and video projects. We’re looking for someone with a great creative eye, enthusiasm for visual storytelling and an understanding of strategic corporate communications who can thrive in a dynamic corporate environment. An understanding of working with corporate visual identity requirements and digital analytics would be an asset for anyone applying for this role. 

What You’ll Do

Develop video content:   

  • Shoot, edit and produce engaging videos optimized for various platforms (YouTube, social media, website, etc.) 
  • Catalogue and maintain digital assets, assist in management of video studio   
  • Brainstorm creative ideas with the team
  • Execute post-production tasks, including reviewing footage, assembling rough cuts, editing, color grading, audio adjustments, and final exporting 
  • Occasionally work with external agencies and freelancers to maintain brand consistency and elevate storytelling 

Design complex animated graphics: 

  • Utilize digital media equipment and editing software with an understanding of how animations can help tell a story

Develop visual content for social media and advertising:  

  • Work with social team on designing quotation cards, announcements, and high-impact posts around milestones
  • Act as a champion of the Biogen visual identity, trains and counsels colleagues on its usage
  • Work with Internal Communications on designs for digital signage and graphics

Who You Are

You have a passion for telling stories through visuals, video and post-production. You are energized by doing meaningful work in a fast-paced environment on a variety of brand, social, and storytelling projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or relevant field 
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in digital content, graphic design or video production role 
  • Ability to recognize story potential and independently develop video assets 
  • Understanding of corporate visual identity “brand books” and how to apply them to visual work 
  • Adobe Creative Cloud experience (Premiere, Photoshop. After Effects and Motion proficiency preferred) 
  • Canva experience
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize projects simultaneously 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using video cameras and strong understanding of lighting and audio equipment  
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds

  • Experience with brand campaigns

Additional Information

The base salary range for this position is $89,000- 116,000 annually. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.

Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
