  • Manage [13 - 15] portfolio accounts as a PM1
  • Lead the UW for new deals and amendments
    • Work alongside senior originator, but the vast majority of due diligence, memo writing, legal documentation, etc will be led by this individual.  This role will have support on every new deal and portco via 1-2 junior colleagues (analyst/associate/AVP)
  • Adds additional support to vertical Team Lead on SAMU accounts & secondment role. May act as a SAMU secondment on portcos over time.
  • Attend internal meetings around PM best practices/new guidelines/systems
  • Center of excellence on operational and policy and procedures with assistance/guidance from the Head of UW
  • Assist Head of UW with training sessions for junior resources
  • Help rotators during rotation in a vertical (if assigned)
  • Work with Asset Management to understand current checklists and programs to be a center of excellence for new deals. 
  • Assist Head of UW and Team Leads with various data requests as well as management of portfolio with credit.
  • Develop tools and best practices for portfolio management
  • Could take over staffing of deals with assistance or in support of the Team Lead 

Opportunities:

  • Higher visibility internally with senior leadership/other parts of bank 
  • Leadership of rotators through a vertical (point person) - assist in assessment and evaluation of said rotators to provide consistent feedback on performance and goals. 
  • Eventually, if they would like and team staffing would support it, potentially be a manager to team Analysts & Associates
  • Would be assigned to a vertical as an integral member of the team but could cross verticals when/if capacity constraints arise.
  • Client calling and travel for borrower and management team visits. 
  • Will interface with sponsor clients via feedback on new deals, diligence, amendments, etc. 
  • Potential for higher sign off, approval of certain deals/transactions with demonstrated experience and capability.
  • Ultimately could evolve into the “head of UW” for each respective vertical

Salary:

$120,000.00 - $222,600.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
