Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring Structural Analysis Engineers for advanced aircraft development programs located in Hazelwood, MO.

BDS Proprietary programs, develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced, Senior and Lead Structural Analysis Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design

  • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance

  • Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environment

  • Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • (Level 3) : 5+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years with a Master’s OR a PhD

  • (Level 4) : 9+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s OR 7+ years with a Masters OR 4+ years with a PhD

  • (Level 5) : 14+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s OR 12+ years with a Masters OR 9+ years with a PhD

  • Experience with aerospace stress analysis and/or structural analysis

  • Experience with Finite Element Modeling (FEM) tools (NASTRAN, PATRAN)

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead (Level 5)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range Experienced (Level 3): $95,200 - $128,800

Summary pay range Senior (Level 4): $115,600 - $156,400

Summary pay range Lead (Level 5): $136,850 - $185,150
