Cary Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for an RN to join our Acute Care Unit. The successful applicant will utilize knowledge of patient’s age and culture as well as learning needs in the provision of patient care, maintains organizational and unit requirements, and promotes a collaborative and cooperative environment with emphasis on customer service.

1. Must have an active valid Maine RN license.
2. Meets the unit’s annual competency training requirements.
3. Obtains BLS certification within 3 months and maintain certification thereafter.
4. Complete Basic Cardiac Course within one year of hire to department.
Schedule:
With consideration to our patients’ and staff needs, you may need to work on days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays and may need to float to other units.

You'll carry out timely nursing assessments, manage medication verification, and constantly evaluate patient responses to illness interventions—using your critical thinking skills to solve problems as they arise. Effective communication is key, so it's important to document your findings accurately and collaborate with your team to foster a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will need an active Maine RN license, current BLS certification, and a commitment to ongoing education, including a Basic Cardiac Course within your first year. You'll enjoy the dynamic nature of this role, which may involve working varied shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, or even floating to other units when required.
