36 hours/week

Night Shift


Cary Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for an RN to join our Acute Care Unit. The successful applicant will utilize knowledge of patient’s age and culture as well as learning needs in the provision of patient care, maintains organizational and unit requirements, and promotes a collaborative and cooperative environment with emphasis on customer service.


Duties Include but are not limited to:

  1. Completes admission assessment and recognizes actual and potential health problems.
  2. Completes admission assessment within 8 hours of admission (provisions made/documented i.e., Functional/Cognitive Status).
  3. Completes nursing assessment on assigned patients promptly and adequately, within an hour, to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
  4. Performs medication list verification upon admission along with review of allergies.
  5. Continuously assesses patient response to illness intervention and use of critical thinking to problem solve. Documents completely and accurately.
  6. Effectively utilizes telemetry and camera systems.

1. Must have an active valid Maine RN license.

2. Meets the unit’s annual competency training requirements.

3. Obtains BLS certification within 3 months and maintain certification thereafter.

4. Complete Basic Cardiac Course within one year of hire to department.


Schedule:

With consideration to our patients’ and staff needs, you may need to work on days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays and may need to float to other units.
