Join us in a role that offers an outstanding opportunity to lead a team of exceptional sales professionals. As the Sr Regional Sales Manager, NGL (California) at Cengage, you will play a pivotal role in driving our ambitious sales goals and transforming educational experiences.

  • Recruits, coaches, and supervises all Sales Representatives, sub-reps, and per diems needed for successful sales campaigns to ensure goal achievement.
  • Works closely with each sales representative to build out and maintain territory plans, including identification of top targets/accounts and sales strategies.
  • Maintains frequent communication with sales representatives to focus on growing revenue through territory plan reviews and pipeline oversight.
  • Ensures team members accurately maintain their CRM to track adoptions and predict customer needs.
  • Travels regularly to mentor and support team members and engage with customers.
  • Collaborates with VP, Sales to establish and implement sales territories, quotas, and performance metrics.
  • Develops an effective events strategy to ensure strong lead-generating results.
  • Continuously monitors key market trends and shares valuable insights with the region and leadership.

Skills You Will Need Here:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from a four-year college or university, along with one to two years of teaching and sales experience.
  • 5+ years of successful consultative sales/business development experience with a proven track record.
  • Strong digital literacy and ability to sell online resources efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, public speaking ability, and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of the educational market and State Adoption processes.
