Job Title: Production Supervisor

Reports To: Value Stream Manager

Work Location: Pine Bluff, AR

FLSA Status: Exempt

Shift: 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - midnight

About the Role: As a Supervisor at Central Moloney, you are responsible for leading and managing a team of production employees in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is central to driving LEAN manufacturing principles and ensuring the efficient and effective scheduling of production activities. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, scheduling, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of 2–4 leads and 20–60 production employees.
  • Set clear goals, give regular feedback, and support team growth.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and values-driven work environment.

LEAN & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive LEAN practices like 5S, Kaizen, and standardized work.
  • Identify and reduce waste, improve processes, and boost efficiency.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts using data and cross-functional teamwork.

Production Operations & Scheduling

  • Oversee daily production to meet quality and delivery goals.
  • Partner with planning and materials teams to align and adjust schedules.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth operations.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure products meet quality standards and lead corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO, OSHA, and internal policies.
  • Keep documentation accurate and up to date.

Resource Management

  • Optimize labor, materials, and equipment to improve productivity.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing and training levels.
  • Work with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (preferred). High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience in production scheduling or related roles, with a solid understanding of scheduling tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using production management software, scheduling, and data analysis tools.
