As a Talent Pipeline Manager and Technical Recruiter, you will shape the future of our organization by cultivating a diverse and dynamic pool of exceptional technical and non-technical talent. Your role is not just about filling positions; it is about forging meaningful connections and building a vibrant community of potential candidates who are aligned with our mission and values. You will be the architect of our talent pipeline, meticulously identifying and nurturing relationships with individuals who possess the skills, knowledge, abilities and passion to drive our success.

In this dual capacity, you will also take the helm of our technical recruitment process, guiding candidates through a seamless and engaging experience from initial contact to onboarding. Your strategic vision and proactive approach will ensure that we are always prepared to meet our evolving talent needs, with a steady stream of qualified candidates ready to step into key roles as they arise. In this role, you will:

Develop Talent Pipelines (45%)

  • Partner with senior leaders to understand and anticipate talent needs
  • Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain a talent pipeline
  • Identify and engage with passive candidates, conduct informational interviews, and maintain regular communication
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience with timely updates and feedback
  • Maintain a candidate database and establish a collaborative process for sharing promising talent
  • Analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of talent pipeline strategies; use data-driven insights to continuously improve talent pipelining efforts

Lead Recruitment for Active Requisitions (45%)

  • Manage full cycle recruiting for multiple, complex searches, creating innovative sourcing strategies and engagement to bring the best talent to each role
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing plans, analyzing requirements to create profile and leveraging multiple tactics to build talented, diverse pool
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers throughout the recruiting process to ensure we meet their hiring needs and goals
  • Lead hiring teams in creating effective, evidence-driven, structured interview processes ensuring teams make strong skill-based decisions
  • Manage pipeline activity and maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders
  • Drive offer process - including extending offers, negotiations, closing candidates, and generating offer letters

Support Strategic Initiatives and Recruiter Effectiveness (10%)

  • Lead and assist with various Talent Acquisition related special projects on an ongoing or ad hoc basis
  • Stay connected to the competitive landscape, including trends in technical recruiting and compensation

About You

You have:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of full-cycle corporate recruitment experience; 2 years of technical recruitment experience; significant experience sourcing, engaging, and activating passive candidates; Preference for candidates who have significant experience recruiting for engineering, finance, and operations roles
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and influencing skills
  • Experience setting and achieving ambitious goals, using data to inform actions and decisions, and a love for problem solving and learning
  • Experience creating and fostering partnerships with internal leadership and executive teams
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • General knowledge of HR principles, employment, and immigration laws and an ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System; Workday preferred
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • You are authorized to work in the United States
  • You have the ability and willingness to travel for work 2-3 times a year

  • Application review will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled 
  • While the hiring process may vary, it generally includes: resume and application submission, recruiter phone/video screen, hiring manager interview, performance exercise such as live coding, a panel interview, a conversation with leadership and reference checks.

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $80,000 to $135,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary.

Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles. College Board strives to provide our best offer up front based on this criteria.
