Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay rate starts at $30.00 per hour

Bonus $8,000

Shift: Monday through Friday 3:00 am start time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to retail stores and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands-on delivery driving position and will be local during the week.

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections thoroughly
  • Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
  • Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
  • Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
  • Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
  • Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
  • Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
  • Occasional Weekend work
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
  • 1 year of flatbed experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Willing to strap flatbed loads
  • Operate trailer mounted forklift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
  • Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
  • Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
