Position:  Senior Project Manager (Contractor)

Datacom Location:  Wellington ONLY due to client location

Security Requirements: Current NZ Citizens and Residents

About the Role (Your Why)  

We require a Senior Project Manager that has strong experience in both Agile and Cloud to work on a project with a local client. The role is based in Wellington, and we like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best! 

 

What You’ll Do   

  • Agile - Facilitate ceremonies, servant leadership, backlog grooming, prioritisation, continuous improvement etc.
  • PM101 - Looking at the risk, Financials, Resourcing, Status Reporting, Scope and stakeholder management
  • Cloud (Automation, Infrastructure, Security) - Use your understanding of the key concepts required to design, build and optimise Cloud services
  • Planning - Engage in Sprint and PI planning to accomplish what needs to be done
  • Ensure Sprint Goals and PI Goals are aligned to the strategy and roadmap (balancing short term and long term goals)
  • Service Delivery activities - you will carry these out in this role, but only to a small degree

  • A natural curiosity and keenness to ensure work is well defined and the team are supported
  • Some commercial experience - Experience drafting/contributing to SOWs/PCRs etc
  • Be able to adapt to changing requirements from a customer, technical and internal stakeholder perspective as we are a pretty agile company and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs.
