Summary:

The Team Lead for Partnerships will lead and manage a high-performing team responsible for building, nurturing, and expanding Deel’s strategic partnerships. You will oversee the partnership lifecycle, from prospecting and negotiation to onboarding and ongoing relationship management. This role requires a strong leader who can drive results, develop team capabilities, and contribute to Deel’s growth through valuable partner relationships. This is a player-coach role where you will be able to showcase your leadership skills and have the opportunity to be entrepreneurial and manage your own book of business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of partnership managers to achieve revenue and growth targets through strategic partnerships.

  • Develop and execute partnership strategies that align with Deel’s overall business objectives and expand our global reach.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring mutual value and long-term collaboration.

  • Identify and onboard new high-value partners, negotiate terms, and close deals that drive growth.

  • Support the development and delivery of partner enablement programs, tools, and resources to ensure success.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of partnerships, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Product teams to ensure smooth partner integration and execution.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Deel’s product offerings and how they can be leveraged in partnerships.

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to the team, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Ensure timely resolution of any partner issues or escalations, maintaining a positive partner experience.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and managing partnerships in a SaaS or tech-driven environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team to meet and exceed goals.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders.

  • Deep understanding of partnership dynamics, including contract negotiation, performance measurement, and scaling partnerships.

  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to implement partnership initiatives.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

  • Familiarity with CRM and partnership management tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, PartnerStack).

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
