Job Description

Dewberry Jackson, MS office is looking for an Electrical Commissioning Agent / Technician to join the commissioning department.  This position will provide field Electrical inspection and process management support for local and regional commissioning projects.

Responsibilities

  • 15+ years in Electrical System Installation and troubleshooting
  • Commissioning experience in electrical systems required
  • Commissioning process certification preferred or ability to acquire within first 6 months
  • Test and Balance knowledge required, experience a plus
  • Knowledge of basic electrical installations is a plus

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Must have Electrical system installation experience and ability to evaluate installations in field to identify deficiencies
  • Must have operational knowledge or Power Distribution Systems.
  • Must have working knowledge of air and water test and balance process and ability to review a TAB report and identify issues
  • Must have field experience to visit client facilities and gather necessary data to test electrical systems
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and ability to identify deficiencies
  • Familiarity with electrical code and ability to make intuitive decisions related to such
  • Ability to read and understand electrical plans and specifications
  • Ability to generate a field summary report from electrical field data collected
  • Ability to work safely around electrical systems up to 600 volts
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all clients, construction trades, and design professionals
  • High aptitude for abstract reasoning, assertiveness, thoroughness and be very detailed oriented
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work in hot or cold environments
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders and use lift trucks. Ability to do moderate lifting. Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to Travel approximately 40% of the time.
