Financial Analyst

Euronet EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) division seeks to employ a (Senior) Financial Analyst who will join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be based in Budapest reporting to one of our Regional Controlling Managers and will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring and controlling financial performance, liaising with the countries on all financial and operational issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business partnership and development

  • Proactively drive review and analysis of all general revenue, cost and capex elements together with the business owners
  • Provide sound financial guidance to Regional/Country Managers and Business Leaders to aid effective decision-making
  • Business partner supporting all financial models required, from business drivers to financials  

 

Management Controlling

  • Monthly review/analysis of P&Ls and capex per country/division.
  • To have a strong control of the cost lines being the final responsible to drive efficiencies. 
  • Monitor performance on a monthly, quarterly and long-term basis providing inputs for the recurrent planning process.
  • Compare assumptions of the standard models with the actual figures proposing corrective actions.
  • Root cause analysis of the largest variances by drilling down on lower level.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with management in all regions and communicate/align on main causes of deviations.
  • Propose changes/updates to the standard cost model and discuss with cost owners/managers.
  • Drive cost agenda and efficiency programs.
  • To bring standard cost models to our profitability tools in a consistent way
  • To improve/transform all the related financial process budgeting/reporting/governance/approval.

Overview of accounting activities and related controls

  • To support the cost accounting activities of the related legal entities
  • Involvement in the monthly closing processes and accounting activities operating assigned controls effectively
  • Ensure compliance including internal and external regulatory requirements
  • University Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related academic field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Finance within a multinational organization preferably in Financial industries or business with high transactional volume
  • Strong organizing, planning and controlling ability
  • Adequate experience establishing and monitoring budgets and forecasts
  • Very good analytical skills
  • Fluent English and Hungarian
