Bus Driver

Here at Applewood, we are seeking a reliable and experienced Bus Driver to join our team! This role will be responsible for transporting residents to and from various locations in a safe and timely manner.


Responsibilities:
  • Transporting residents, staff, and visitors on scheduled, and unscheduled appointments
  • Operating vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts
  • Operating passenger buses and sedans
  • Preparing vehicles for usage, including performing pre & post-trip vehicle inspections, refueling, and other related tasks
  • Logging and tracking vehicle usage
  • Assisting passengers with boarding and off-boarding from the vehicle
  • Report any accidents or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
  • Maintain a clean and well-maintained bus.


Requirements:
  • A current and valid NJ Commercial Driver’s License Class C (or higher) with Passenger endorsement is required. This license must be maintained as a condition of employment.
  • Acceptable history of safe driving as noted through a 3-year driving record check
  • Minimum of three 3 years of verifiable driving experience as noted through a driving record check.
  • Transportation service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.


$20 - $24 an hour
