Medical/Surgical/Ortho RN
3-Surgical: Nurses specialize in managing the pre and post-operative care of orthopedic and urology surgical patients. Nurses are trained and equipped to provide patient centered care to orthopedic and urology patients with but not limited to, pre and post-operative teaching, bladder irrigation, physical therapy, wound care, IV therapy, antibiotic therapy, and drain care. These patients may or may not require cardiac monitoring. This specialized group of patients provides nurses with a platform to basic nursing skills as well as skills that specialize in orthopedic care. Nurses have the opportunity to assist with bedside procedures and develop critical thinking skills
Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required. At least 1 year of Med/Surg experience preferred. BCLS required.
