Job Description

The Director of Connected Products Sales will help drive and generate new business within new and existing Yale and Master Lock Connected Products verticals. This role comprises both business development responsibilities in key regions of the US, as well as leading Independent Rep Firms - all of whom are direct sales hunters. Specific verticals include Pro Security, Multi-Family/Builder, CEDIA, and Real Estate, with an eye toward new vertical opportunities to be explored and developed.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set annual sales plans focused on specific verticals and region.
  • Assist in developing annual sales targets.
  • Establish best-in-class KPIs for managing progress.
  • Provide feedback, mentor and teach as needed for varying sales opportunities and scenarios.
  • Partner with manager to develop strategic vision and sales approach for both direct customers, and Integrator customers.
  • Responsible for building $TBD in pipeline and generating $TBD in sales annually.
  • Responsible for enabling each technical salesperson to deliver $TBD in pipeline and $TBD in revenue annually after a period of 18 months on the job.
  • Develop and establish Independent Rep Firms and Wholesale Distribution Teams.
  • Targets new Integrators by leveraging the Yale/Master Lock Connected Lock Family and Yale Access SDK/API suite.
  • Advises customer on product mix and applications.
  • Provides product training, webinars, joint calls, and attends trade shows, to help drive growth and profitability of the Connected Products platform.
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships with marketing, engineering, technical support to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Continue to pursue and maintain in-depth product and industry knowledge.
  • Engage, Inspire and develop a high performing sales team.
  • Maintains and utilizes CRM tool for sales forecasting, prospect pipeline and strategic selling activities.
  • Travel required. (up to 75%)

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of enterprise direct sales and growth, preferably in Pro Security Channel.
  • Requires education generally equivalent to four years of college with studies in business, marketing, engineering or related field.
  • Experience leading and developing a sales team.
  • Experience providing technical product training and technical solution selling.
  • Electronic access control experience a plus.
  • Must possess strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel is required.

Additional Information:

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $105,000 USD - $150,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
