Role Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Program Manager/Team Leader, the Project Manager II is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of a diverse scope and range of projects ensuring consistency with the credit union strategy, commitments, and goals. This includes, but is not limited to, development and deployment of new products and services across all departments, deployment of new technologies, and implementation of third-party products. This position has intermediate, wide-range job knowledge, and has demonstrated the ability to handle moderate responsibilities in addition to the Project Manager I role.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Manage, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of designated projects for the credit union within established time frames and budget.
  2. Establish and be responsible for project scope, goals and milestones, tasks, required resources and schedules.
  3. Track progress, prepare reports, organize, and facilitate meetings.
  4. Identify, elevate, and resolve all challenges interfering with project progress, evaluates risks and recommends contingency plans.
  5. Consult/interact with executive and management teams, internal customers, vendors and suppliers to ensure effective project execution.
  6. Oversee project-level change management. 
  7. Collaborate with IT leadership on IT Infrastructure/upgrade projects.
  8. Assists in developing tools and best practices for project management and execution.
  9. Lead, coach, and motivate project team members on a proactive basis.
  10. Utilize and grow a professional network throughout the organization.

     4. Technical:

  • Required proficiency with Waterfall and Agile project planning/tracking tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps/Boards, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ITIL v4 standards preferred.
  • Experience working on Agile Scrum/Kanban teams preferred.
  • Required proficiency in Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • IT infrastructure project leadership and change management experience preferred.

Qualifications


What You Will Need:

  1. Five (5) plus years of proven project management experience.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in information science, computer science or business with a systems emphasis desired.
  3. PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification (may substitute significant experience).
  4. Effective verbal, written and listening skills.
  5. Effective conflict management skills.
  6. Effective interpersonal skills to deal with a range/variety of people.
  7. Strong project and organizational skills.
  8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Work independently, as well as collaboratively.
  10. Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  11. Financial services/credit union experience preferred.
