Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
  • 2 years of experience in Java, Mobile App Development, Android.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in developing Android Platform code, Android apps, or defining mobile APIs.
  • Experience in building server-side infrastructure.
  • Experience in designing and building tools for developers.
  • Experience with flagging and experimentation systems.
  • Experience in data processing/data analysis.
  • Experience with software release processes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new functionality in Android Platform, in a combination of Java, Rust, and C++, to enable additional flagging use-cases or improve existing user-journeys.
  • Improve server infrastructure used to control the build time and runtime values of flags.
  • Influence the policies that govern when and how flags should be used to gate Android software changes.
  • Collect and analyze data that gives us insights on adoption and performance of the flagging infrastructure.
  • Seek feedback from client teams on the ergonomics of our infrastructure and APIs, identify developers's needs, and advocate for those needs.
