Harper Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for a Los Angeles Community College District project in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Emphasize safety during the performance of all daily project responsibilities.
  • Create, manage, process, and log RFIs and submittals.
  • Develop and update the project schedule with the Project Manager and Superintendent
  • Promote sustainable construction and coordinate project LEED requirements.
  • Maintain project progress photographs.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
  • Monitor material deliveries, ensuring all deliveries adhere to the project schedule.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the contract documents.
  • Facilitate communication among all project team members.
  • Manage project close-out, including warranty letters, guarantees, and acceptance of work.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with reading drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Procore document control system.
  • Strong computer skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $85,000 to $98,000 salary range
    • The offered rate will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience.
  • This position is eligible for our benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance. We also offer a 401(k) plan with company match, company paid holidays and vacation.
