SCF Lewis and Clark Terminals is excited to announce an opportunity for an Experienced Welder to join our dynamic team in East Carondelet, Illinois. At SCF, we believe in investing in our workforce, providing support and training for every member, from certified welders to those just starting their journey. This position will allow you to play a key role in the repair and maintenance of our vital fleet of barges—keeping our operations running smoothly. You’ll be engaged in various tasks such as wire and stick welding, cutting and fitting materials, and operating equipment like forklifts and hydraulic cranes. You’ll also perform inspections and pumping duties, ensuring our barges meet the highest safety standards, while participating in dock cleanup activities and adapting to whatever tasks are thrown your way. We’re looking for someone who embodies flexibility, safety consciousness, and teamwork while using critical thinking to make on-the-spot decisions. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating within our diverse workplace. If you have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the physical capability to thrive in this busy environment, we want to hear from you! Join us Monday through Friday with hours ranging from 6 AM to 4:30 PM in winter and 6 AM to 2:30 PM in the summer. Come be a part of our team!
