Job Description

SCF Lewis and Clark Terminals is seeking an Experienced Welder for our team in East Carondelet, Illinois. Whether you are a Certified Welder, or just starting, we will invest in your training and development for the next level.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of SCF’s fleet of barges. We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks, and responsibilities keep things interesting!  

What you'll be doing:

  • Wire and stick welding
  • Cutting/Fitting
  • Operating forklift
  • Operating hydraulic crane
  • Inspecting and pumping barges
  • Route dock clean up
  • Other duties as requested

Candidates must:

  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Display excellent communication skills
  • Can walk and lift for extended periods
  • Can carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis
  • Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements

Additional Information

  • Monday-Friday
  • 6-4:30 (winter hours)
  • 6-2:30 (summer hours)
