Digital Engineering Specialist

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a GIS Professional to grow the firm’s position as a national leader in digital engineering, digital delivery of projects and asset management, the primary purpose of this role is to enhance traditional engineering practices with cutting-edge digital solutions. 

Responsibilities

The following are the priorities of the position: 

  • Fill the asset management role on existing DD/DT contracts and upcoming opportunities (see below). 
  • Enhance existing training efforts for DD projects across the firm (e.g., current design projects and program projects with UDOT, TXDOT, FDOT, AzDOT) 
  • Support firmwide ESRI efforts 
  • Enhance the use of the firm’s remote sensing tools 

 

The following is a summary of the likely initiation activities during the first six months of employment: 

  • Assist with current TxDOT DDP program development  
  • Assist with new NCDOT DDP program development  
  • Assist with new MnDOT DD pilot project 
  • Marketing assistance for TxDOT DDP Phase 2.0 contract 
  • Marketing assistance for Ohio DDP and Indiana DDP contracts 
  • Support firmwide ESRI services  
  • Partner with firmwide practices to expand survey/data collection, asset management, AI, and visualization efforts
