We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager (AI Platform) to join our team for a role to work remotely, based in Canada.
Reporting to David Kormushoff, VP Technology, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the development of KOHO’s internal AI platform. You’ll join a strong, high-performing AI team that’s already delivering AI solutions in production, and help take our internal platform to the next level. In this purely internal-facing role, you will own the roadmap definition and execution for AI platform initiatives, coordinating across Engineering, Data, Product, and other teams to ensure we deliver on our ambitious AI goals. This is a high-impact, visionary role at the intersection of technology and product – you will drive clarity through documentation, process, and communication, all while aligning our efforts with the latest advancements in AI.
• Define and own the AI platform roadmap: Align the internal AI platform’s development with KOHO’s strategic objectives by setting and managing a clear product roadmap and backlog for AI initiatives.
• Break down complex initiatives: Take broad AI platform goals and decompose them into clear, achievable workstreams and milestones for engineering and data teams to execute on.
• Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Data Science, Product, Operations, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of AI platform projects and seamless integration of AI capabilities into various parts of the organization.
• Drive clarity and process: Establish and maintain thorough documentation, efficient processes, and regular internal communications to keep stakeholders aligned on the AI platform’s vision, progress, and best practices.
• Hands-on prototyping: Roll up your sleeves to prototype or build proof-of-concept solutions for new AI ideas, and work with technical team members to assess the feasibility and impact of proposed AI use cases.
• Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously research and stay informed about cutting-edge AI/ML trends – especially in generative AI and LLM workflows – and inject this forward-looking perspective into the platform’s evolution and innovation.
• Experienced product leader: You have 5+ years of experience in product management, program management, or a related technical leadership role, driving complex software or platform projects from concept to delivery.
• Technically adept: You have a strong technical background – perhaps you started out as a software engineer or you hold a degree in Computer Science/Engineering – which enables you to understand architecture, discuss implementation details with engineers, and even create small prototypes or scripts when necessary.
• AI/ML savvy: You are familiar with AI/ML technologies and workflows; experience working on AI-driven products, ML platforms, or data infrastructure projects is a significant plus. You can grasp concepts around machine learning models, data pipelines, and MLOps, and use that knowledge to make informed decisions.
• Passionate about innovation: You have a keen interest in the latest developments in AI, particularly in generative AI and large language models. You stay on top of emerging tools and techniques, and you’re excited about leveraging them to benefit KOHO’s platform.
• Execution focused: You excel at taking a vision and breaking it down into actionable steps. You have a track record of managing projects, coordinating cross-team efforts, and delivering results on time. Ambiguity doesn’t scare you – you bring structure and clarity to complex problems.
• Great communicator & collaborator: You have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. You can translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders effortlessly, create clear documentation, and ensure everyone remains aligned. You build strong relationships with colleagues and thrive in a collaborative, internal stakeholder-facing role.
• Proactive and organized: You are a self-starter who can juggle multiple priorities and drive initiatives forward. You take ownership of outcomes, pay attention to details, and consistently seek ways to improve processes and team efficiency.
