Salary: $60,000 - 65,000/year

We are seeking a highly skilled Personnel Security Specialist with experience handling TS/SCI security clearances and issuing badges for visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing personnel security clearance processes, including the issuance of badges for employees and visitors, and ensuring compliance with all security policies and regulations. The role requires close attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a secure environment. Candidates must have a current TS/SCI clearance and experience in a similar security or personnel role.


Responsibilities
  • Manage and process security clearance actions for personnel, including initiating background checks, periodic reinvestigations, and clearance upgrades or downgrades for individuals with TS/SCI security clearances.
  • Ensure that all personnel have appropriate security clearance levels in accordance with government and organizational regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of personnel clearances, ensuring compliance with all relevant security policies, federal regulations, and client-specific requirements.
  • Liaise with government agencies and other security personnel to process and manage security clearances.
  • Coordinate security training for employees and contractors on clearance processes and security best practices.
  • Issue and manage badges for visitors, contractors, and employees, ensuring the proper documentation and approval is in place.
  • Maintain an accurate database of issued badges, including visitor logs, employee and contractor badges, and temporary access requests.
  • Monitor and control access to facilities by ensuring badges are properly issued, collected, and tracked for compliance with security procedures.
  • Collaborate with other security personnel to ensure timely access for visitors and employees, in compliance with organizational policies and security protocols.
  • Oversee the issuance of visitor badges, escorting visitors as necessary, and ensuring that they follow all required security procedures while on site.


Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in personnel security management, particularly in processing TS/SCI clearances.
  • Demonstrated experience in issuing and managing badges for visitors, employees, and contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Experience using personnel security and access control systems and databases.
  • Familiarity with FISMA, NISPOM, and other relevant security regulations and standards.
