Change and Release Manager

The salary for this role is £45,000 – £50,000.

As a Change and Release Manager at LI, your focus will be to herd the planning, coordination, and execution of changes across the diverse pastures of our Azure-based terrain, while supporting the Transition Lead in their delivery from design into Live.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience tending to change in an ITIL or ISO 20000 environment as you will ensure all changes meet compliance with industry standards and the finest practices.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include

  • Analysing and assessing the impact of proposed changes, utilising agreed processes and best practices.
  • Collaborating with change owners to ensure all impacts of changes are fully understood, maintaining the stability and reliability of service offerings.
  • Identifying and managing risks, issues, and the practicalities of normal, standard, and emergency changes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Building and maintaining a roadmap and calendar of upcoming changes to enhance planning and coordination, mitigating potential risks before they arise.
  • Managing and chairing the Change Advisory Board, ensuring changes are reviewed and approved in line with the established change policy.
  • Work closely with change approvers to obtain timely approvals, addressing any queries and clarifications to facilitate the approval process.
  • Overseeing the end-to-end change management process, from initiation through to successful completion, ensuring compliance with all change policies and procedures.
  • Facilitating and documenting post-implementation reviews (PIRs) to ensure lessons learned are captured and applied to future changes.
  • Providing cover for Release Management during periods of high demand and holiday cover, ensuring continuity and support
  • Managing all communications related to the change management process, ensuring both internal and external stakeholders are kept informed and engaged.
  • Providing guidance on change management policy and processes, offering support and advice to stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and success rate of change management activities.
  • Providing regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting change volumes, success rates, unauthorised changes, and areas that require improvement.
  • Evaluating and enhancing change management practices regularly to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensuring alignment with industry best practices, identifying opportunities to implement process automation and streamline change procedures.
  • ·Implementing automation to improve the change process.
  • Delivering training sessions and awareness programmes to ensure all teams are aligned with the change management process and understand their responsibilities.
  • Promoting a shared commitment to successful change management by fostering an understanding of policies, procedures, and the wider organisational impact of change.

We are looking for someone with the following

  • Proven experience as a Change Manager and Release Manager
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL V4
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • An understanding of Azure platform services and tools, with experience managing changes in cloud environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyse complex information, evaluate impact, and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure timely execution of tasks.
