Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of production technicians, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in the assembly of mission-critical hardware.
Develop and implement daily production plans and adapt priorities based on project requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to meet project milestones and production targets.
Oversee line trials for new products and processes, providing guidance to technicians on best practices and procedural updates.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within production, identifying and implementing process efficiencies, assembly techniques, and tooling enhancements.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, cleanliness, and organization within production areas, utilizing 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
Provide feedback on assembly issues, driving continuous process improvements and solutions; pilot and lead Kaizen events as necessary
Monitor and report on team performance, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring to promote skill development and ensure high standards of work.
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new technicians to build a cohesive and capable team.
Manage documentation related to production processes, quality checks, and equipment maintenance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or assembly environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Familiarity with both electrical and mechanical assembly processes
Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production needs.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a team-oriented approach.
Physical ability to lift 35 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in a pre-production pilot phase or new product introduction environment.
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), bill of materials (BOM), and various production tracking tools like Jira
Forklift certification and familiarity with machinery large assembly processes is a bonus.
