Job Summary

Mass General Brigham Digital is seeking applicants for a ten-week internship program that begins on Monday, June 2nd and runs through Friday, August 8th. 


 

Qualifications

The Intern will work on the Digital team supporting a portfolio of vendor and in-house developed applications utilized at Massachusetts General Hospital and other Mass General Brigham hospital members. The intern will shadow and work with application analysts and software developers on the Ambulatory Patient Tracking application, an in-house developed application utilized in outpatient physician practices.  This will include participation in system design, development and testing. The intern will also assist with projects and support activities for other application area including the environmental monitoring application, PRISM (PACU), Infotainment/IPTV and mobile applications.

The intern will report to the Senior Manager, MGH Digital Solutions Delivery and work closely with project managers and systems analysts.

Responsibilities include

  • Software testing, including writing and executing test scripts and tracking software defects

  • Observing and documenting customer/ business workflows as needed

  • System maintenance activities (e.g. adding/removing user access)

  • Participation in design and development meetings with software engineers

  • Assisting with front line support ticket triaging

  • Assisting with management of mobile devices  

  • The intern may be assigned other duties depending on workload capacity.

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

  • Current enrollment in college-level courses required

Schedule requirements:

  • This internship will be June 2nd - August 8th 2025.

  • M-F Hybrid role includes onsite at MGB local sites and Assembly Row. 

  • Remote Working days require stable, quiet, secure working area that is HIPAA compliant

  • Onsite events are planned ahead, working days onsite weekly vary for department needs, must be flexible.
