Position Overview:
As the Business Development Manager at MCE, you will be at the forefront of driving new business opportunities and expanding our presence in the MEP engineering sector. You will play a key role in building lasting relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will also manage and mentor a marketing team member.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Create and execute strategies to identify and target new business opportunities in the MEP      engineering sector, specifically for building systems projects.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, including developers, architects, and contractors. Serve as MCE’s MEP engineering partner of choice.
  • Proposal Development & Sales: Collaborate with technical teams to prepare proposals and bids, ensuring the company’s      offerings align with client needs.
  • Marketing & Promotions: Work with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns, increase brand awareness, and drive client retention.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative, results-driven team environment. Ensure business development efforts are executed effectively and efficiently.


Requirements

  Who You Are:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in business development or sales in the building systems engineering, architectural,      or construction consulting industry.
  • You have a proven track record of securing new projects and managing client relationships in the building and infrastructure sectors.
  • You are a strong leader, capable of motivating and managing a team to achieve company goals.
  • You are an excellent communicator and negotiator, with the ability to generate leads, manage relationships, and close deals.
  • You have a solid understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.

Salary Range: $97,000 - $140,000 annually. 

Individual employee compensation is determined with a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, knowledge, skills, geography, and performance. Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
