Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join them. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, Virginia

To be considered for Manufacturing Engineer, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field or a bachelor's degree with relative work experience to a manufacturing role or an associate degree with 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • Experience communicating with internal and external customers, coworkers, and other disciplines across the business

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

  • Work and maintain confidential information.

  • You will be the support to the Slip Ring production line and Outsource Vendors.

  • Oversee the manufacturing process development with a domestic and international team.

  • Create engineering and tool drawings, order and support manufacturing tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layout, quotes and continuous improvement.

  • Review and respond to request for quotes on new orders.

  • Conduct mechanical and electrical manufacturing design reviews and offer improvement suggestions for manufacturability.

  • Travel off-Site travel domestically and internationally

  • Enforce and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as they apply such as ITAR

  • Provide reports to management on daily, weekly, and monthly performance to schedules and expenditures

  • Support technical exchange discussions with suppliers and Moog.

  • Cross-train to help in other areas.

  • Complete any other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or operations manager.

Salary Range Transparency:

Blacksburg, VA $60,000.00–$80,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
