System Operations/Administrator (Multiple Levels)

Responsibilities

Noblis ESI is seeking a System Operations/Administrator with a background in managing and maintaining desktop computing environments to work with our clients in supporting our customer Mission Integration Directorate (MID).   

Job Responsibilities 

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, and peripheral devices. 
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. 
  • Monitor system performance and security, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and best practices. 
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory. 
  • Deploy software updates, patches, and security fixes to desktop systems. 
  • Conduct regular system backups and data recovery operations. 
  • Maintain and update asset inventory records for hardware and software. 
  • Collaborate with IT team members to implement and support new technologies and projects. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. 
  • Assist with network and server administration tasks as needed. 
  • Stay current with trends, technologies, and best practices in desktop system administration. 

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Alternatively, demonstrate an additional 4 years of related acquisition experience per level if no bachelor's degree is held. 
  • Experience as a desktop system administrator or in a similar IT support role.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. 
  • Compliant with DoD Directive 8570 (Security+ or equivalent certification OR the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire'

 

Junior-Level  

  • Bachelor's degree  
  • 3 - 5 years of experience 
  • Background / knowledge in systems administration 
  • Compensation:  $80,500 -  $125,800

  

Mid-Level  

  • Bachelor's degree  
  • 5 - 8  years of experience 
  • Background / knowledge in systems administration 
  • Compensation: $117,800 -  $184,100

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Master’s Degree 
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). 
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation. 
  • Familiarity with endpoint management and security tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune). 
  • Certification in relevant IT fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate). 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting techniques. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other domain management tools. 
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent certifications.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
