Certified Fitter I

Overview

Certified Fitters have the opportunity to build a rewarding career while improving the lives of patients by measuring and fitting compression garments and post-mastectomy products. The patients served may include those with lymphedema, various vascular conditions, or a history of breast cancer. Compression garments assist in removing excess fluid from tissues or help contain fluid in the limbs, alleviating discomfort. Fitters receive on-the-job training to learn the specialized skills required for this role. A wide range of products is available to meet patients' needs. Fitters must demonstrate strong time management skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Measure and fit for products associated with uncomplicated and complex health conditions associated with two areas of expertise: mastectomy and compression. Assist clients with product selection, providing accurate information for products carried by A Wellness Place.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computer, word processing software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Compression Fitters must complete a Certificate of
  • Current BLS card (CPR).
  • PREFERRED

  • One (1) or two (2) years of college education
  • Prior healthcare and/or retail
  • ABC or BOC Insurance Verification and or billing experience.
  • Work Hours:

    8am-4:30pm
