Job Summary:


The Solution Consultant II (SC) applies professional expertise to support Sales and Professional Services teams in crafting mutually beneficial service agreements, guiding customers toward optimal implementation strategies, and mitigating delivery risks through precise scoping and well-defined Statements of Work (SOWs). This role operates within established guidelines while identifying opportunities for process optimization, contributing to scalable and effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales teams and customers to lead scoping activities, clearly define delivery requirements, and steer stakeholders toward optimal implementation paths.

  • Mitigate project risks and manage stakeholder expectations to optimize ROI while minimizing challenges in delivery.

  • Participate in scoping meetings with Sales teams, customers, and prospects to identify requirements and communicate professional services value and delivery approaches.

  • Drive the creation, refinement, and approval of SOWs, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Professional Services, R&D, and Training as needed.

  • Support RFP processes related to implementation scope by providing estimates, content, and analysis.

  • Leverage project data to continually refine scoping processes and ensure alignment with profitability and delivery objectives.

  • Lead internal initiatives to improve processes, scale operations, and enhance team efficiency, including evaluating profitability metrics and supporting strategy implementation.

  • Stay agile in a dynamic environment by aligning services scoping with evolving customer needs and product solutions.

  • Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years or more of direct or applicable experience in a professional services role, ideally within SaaS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with government ERP/accounting systems, budgeting concepts, and finance solutions.

  • Familiarity with professional services scoping, contracting principles, and negotiation; prior experience in contract management is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce and contract management systems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate and address issues related to professional services projects.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across internal teams, including finance, revenue recognition, product, R&D, and legal.
