The DoD AI Program Office leads the integration of AI capabilities into the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG). This role supports AI transformation into a Program of Record, ensuring alignment with architectural frameworks and mission objectives.
Lead requirements engineering, solutions development, and systems integration across DIE, NGA, NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies to enable GEOINT capabilities.
Provide expertise in architecture development, acquisition strategy, business processes, product strategy, and test strategy for AI initiatives.
Analyze and trace user requirements, architectures, and workflows, assessing cloud service capabilities and system improvements.
Advise on technical solutions, design modifications, and emerging technologies to enhance mission effectiveness.
Support Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Action (CoA) assessments, and trade studies to optimize AI system performance.
Assist in strategic technical planning, risk management, interface design, and performance engineering to align AI capabilities with DoD objectives.
Provide expert guidance on vision, strategy, plans, and capability development to ensure mission success.
Facilitate cross-agency integration to enhance interoperability and operational effectiveness.

Skills and Experience:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering (or related field) with 18+ years of experience.
Technical Expertise:
18+ years of experience in government or industry supporting:
DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBE Process, or
Systems engineering for large, complex System of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
Strong background in systems engineering lifecycle and integration methodologies.
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
Advanced Education & Certifications:
Masters in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field.
Software Development Framework certification.
INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
Technical Expertise & Tools:
Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), tools, and languages.
Experience engineering solutions with:
Cloud-based technologies
Big Data (structured/unstructured)
Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence
Expertise in geospatial intelligence, photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS, or related fields.
Professional Affiliations:
Membership or leadership in organizations such as:
ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, USGIF
