Senior Product Marketing Manager

Our mission is to increase the success rate of small businesses. Traditional banking has been a growth limiter rather than a growth enabler for business owners, and we’re changing that. Relay is the all-in-one, collaborative money management platform. We’re building for employer SMBs and their finance function, internal and external, and are focused on delivering a human-centric customer experience. Ultimately, we help SMBs be ‘on the money'.

Relay is looking for a highly creative, empathetic and analytical product marketer to join our growing Product Marketing team. Relay’s Product Marketing team is hyper-focused on ensuring our small business customers derive as much value from our platform as possible. Working closely with key stakeholders across Relay, the Product Marketing Team drives positioning and messaging, product launches, pricing and packaging, market research, competitive intelligence and other initiatives that accelerate our mission of helping entrepreneurs build healthy, cash-flow-positive businesses.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and own go-to-market strategies for new features and product launches. You’ll own parts of our core banking product and new product lines.

  • Project manage product launches in collaboration with the rest of the marketing team (e.g. content, design, lifecycle). Support on execution of assets as needed.

  • Leverage customer knowledge to craft positioning and messaging that meaningfully resonates with our market and users.

  • Influence product direction by building and socializing deep insights into our market. Conduct comprehensive customer, market and competitive analysis that leverages both qualitative and quantitative data.

  • Maintain a close pulse on the industry and competitors. Share industry developments consistently with the team, and make recommendations for how Relay can respond to changes and developments in the market.

  • Refine product messaging across all stages of the customer journey. Work with marketing to ensure this messaging is integrated across all channels.

  • Own sales enablement for your products and features. Work closely with our sales and customer success teams to ensure they can effectively communicate the value of Relay, and have access to all the materials and research required to communicate that impact to users.

  • Build strong relationships across every team in the company to support alignment on product value and vision.

Who You Are:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in working product marketing—ideally in a startup environment.

  • You have successfully launched and driven adoption for a new product or feature, and you can speak to tangible business and customer outcomes of your work.

  • You’re a storyteller. You know how to craft and tell a story that resonates with and influences cross-functional stakeholders and customers.

  • You love talking to and deeply understanding your customers, and you can extrapolate both functional, compelling messaging and product ideas from your customer conversations and research.

  • You’ve been—and relish in being—a trusted resource for questions related to your customers, product, upcoming releases and how to effectively market and sell your product.

  • You value relationship-building and always seek out opportunities to help your peers and understand how your GTM strategies can be augmented to better support stakeholders and customer-facing teams.

  • You have superior project management skills. You can lead and influence multiple cross-functional stakeholders to work with urgency and to meet objectives and deadlines.
