Job Overview

The Central Service Technician decontaminates, cleans, assembles, requisitions, stores, and sterilizes supplies, instruments sets, and trays according to policy and procedure while using aseptic technique. Works closely with OR personnel and is responsible for the OR case carts and maintaining the OR / CS supply room and supporting other Hospital departments with their sterilization needs.

 

This position is full time, non exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $31.39 - $44.32/hour. Compensation is determined by experience and department equity. 

 

The hours for this position is 2pm - 10:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of the principles of asepsis, infection control and standard precautions
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge and principles of sterilization
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory and supplies
  • Serves as liaison between the OR and CS, providing supplies, instruments and case carts

Minimum:

  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster

Preferred:

  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) 
  • 1+ year of hospital experience
