In preparation for launching a groundbreaking new product, our client is building a wide and deep sales pipeline to support a variety of use cases. As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to capture global business opportunities in the AI and Big Tech sectors. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by forging strategic partnerships and advancing new business opportunities.
Develop and Execute Global Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement a comprehensive business development strategy focused on AI, foundation models, and big tech.
Partner and Market Engagement: Leverage personal networks and conduct thorough research to identify long-term business opportunities. Develop relationships with key stakeholders and progress opportunities toward sales cycles.
Market Evangelism: Advocate for innovative solutions at industry events and trade shows, positioning our client as a leader in AI and geospatial analytics.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to align product offerings with market needs.
Leadership and Communication: Serve as a subject matter expert on AI and big tech initiatives, engaging with both internal teams and external partners to promote the client’s solutions.
Bachelor's degree in science, technology, business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
15-20 years of experience in business development within the technology, AI, strategic consulting, or geospatial sectors.
Proven success in strategic partnerships and delivering revenue growth.
Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
Demonstrated experience working with large corporate capture practices.
Tech-savvy, with knowledge of satellite data applications preferred.
Base Salary: $140,000 - $210,000 USD annually
Variable Pay: Up to 40% based on performance metrics
Compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
This is a remote position with significant global travel (3-4 times per month) to meet with clients, attend strategic planning sessions, and participate in industry conferences.
