Director of Nursing

We are currently hiring a Director of Nursing to join our Nursing Administration Team!

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position provides the leadership and management of the Nursing department to ensure that the highest quality of care is provided. This position will drive nursing operations based on the facility's key metrics which are aligned with the organizational mission, vision, and goals. The successful candidate will provide effective transformational leadership, facilitate change to meet the demands of the evolving healthcare climate, foster an environment that promotes employee engagement, manage compliance, provide fiscal management, and the ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Eligible candidates must possess, at a minimum: Registered Nurse License with current registration in New York State. Have 5 years of nursing experience with proven history of management experience. Previous experience as a Director of Nursing / Assistant DON in a SNF preferred. Demonstrated ability to advance organizational change. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations. Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Exceptional interpersonal skills required, including strong verbal, written, computer and leadership skills. Proven ability to work in a team context and to set priorities and manage competing demands. Proven skill in building and maintaining effective work relationships with an array of constituents at all levels of the organization.
