Schedule:

Part-Time Evenings 11:00am-11:00pm

Part-Time Nights 7:00pm-7:00am

The Patient Flow Nurse is responsible for continuity of operations within the facility by overseeing all patient admissions, discharges, and transfer activity, while monitoring capacity both currently and prospectively across the Northern Division.  Facilitates continuous throughput of patients from all points of entry by utilizing effective verbal communication, swift clinical decision making and problem-solving skills.  This includes coordination and communication with key personnel and departments, including Jefferson physicians, nursing personnel, Environmental Services, Patient Transport, JeffSTAT, and the Jefferson Health Transfer Center.

The Patient Flow Nurse is accountable for defined patient flow quality and safety key performance indicators (KPIs), e.g. ED and PACU boarding, wait times in ED and PACU and adherence to clinical placement guidelines/ unit-based admission criteria.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • BSN Degree preferred
  • State Issued RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
