Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in our sales and marketing strategy. This role presents an outstanding opportunity to learn fundamental skills in the world of enterprise software sales. The SDR will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through various outbound tactics, including cold calling, emailing, social selling, and Account-Based Marketing. In this role, you will master the art of account research and prospecting techniques to generate high-value opportunities for the sales organization.  The work you do will empower lenders, banks, credit unions, and insurance companies to create trusted lifelong financial relationships with the people and communities they serve.

 

How you’ll have an impact:

·       Interact by phone, email, and social with key personnel up to, and including, C-Level executives.

·       Exceed key sales metrics that will fuel the continued growth of Total Expert.

·      Conduct research to understand a prospect’s business needs and the best way to engage key buyers and influencers within the account.

·      Learn key trends, and nuances, of the industries we serve including banking, lending, and insurance.

·      Qualify and produce quality leads for your Account Executive(s).

·       Support product demonstrations & deliver corporate overview presentations.

·       Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of the capabilities of the Total Expert Platform.

·       Track all related activities within HubSpot and keep current by updating account and prospect information regularly.

·       Work with the Marketing team to provide feedback on which marketing campaigns and lead sources are producing the highest quality of leads.

·       Promote and attend industry trade shows to help source and qualify new opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications: 

·      1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in business development, lead generation, outbound calling or strong work/internship experience.

·       Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills (outgoing and personable)

·       Intelligent, motivated, and competitive with a desire to move into field sales.

·       Previous experience using a marketing automation or CRM platform to track activities.

·       Effective when working independently and cross-functionally with other teams.

·       Knowledge of the financial services industry


Compensation/Benefits: The anticipated base salary range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 annually. Final total compensation offered is dependent upon the selected individual's qualifications and experience. The role is also eligible to receive commissions based on achievement of an assigned quota. As an employee of the company, you will be eligible to participate in the Employee Stock Option Plan. Total Expert offers a competitive range of benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA (Health Savings Account), FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts), company paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Flexible Time-Off (FTO), Paid Parental Leave, and 401(k) with employer match.
