We need a super-smart, super-passionate, and super-on-to-it person to both oversee and actively contribute to driving our product development and UX practice at Tradify. This person will play a key role in shaping the product experience, ensuring that our product strategy and roadmap are well understood, and working closely with the product development teams to ship exceptional experiences that create value for the business. You’ll be responsible for ensuring teams collaborate efficiently while also defining detailed specifications and working hand-in-hand with the engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions. Basically, this means getting a great understanding of what our product strategy and roadmap are and ensuring the product development teams work closely, collaboratively and efficiently to ship great experiences and create value to the business.

Do you want to be part of one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in Australasia? Always wanted to work at a values-led company that puts people and culture front and centre?

Not only will you be helping Tradify hit our aggressive growth goals, but you’ll also be making a measurable difference in the lives of thousands of tradies worldwide.

On a typical day, you might:

  • Kick off the morning with coffee and a catch-up with a diverse range of team members.
  • Have a talk with the CPO, Product Director and Design Director to discuss how a new feature will deliver on our strategic objectives for the business.
  • Have a chat with Research and Insights about results from a previous feature roll-out to see how successful it was.
  • Bring together a team working on a new feature to discuss the status of work and how it relates to the original vision for the product.
  • Set the plan and direction for a cycle of work, and plan the necessary launch activities needed for release.

What is a Cycle, you say? Glad you asked!

We work in what we call Cycles, which can last for a given amount of time - like 6 weeks. Each cycle has a dedicated team to design, develop and test solutions that have been recommended to the business by Product Managers. You'll be responsible for setting the objective for a cycle and pitching in to ensure the work is productive and efficient and delivers to Tradify’s high standards. You’ll also be planning releases and activations, planning launch activities, designing tracking and analytics, and validating any experimental aspects of the cycle.

You’re going to be a great fit for this job if you:

  • Have a bachelor's degree plus several years of experience in project management, business analysis, information architecture or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Extensive experience of leading design and development practices within a UX design or digital product or services company.
  • Have a great understanding of the concepts of product development, and user experience design as they relate to digital product and service design.
  • Enjoy participating in a high-performance team-oriented environment to deliver sophisticated digital solutions.
  • Can serve as a subject matter expert as well as coach others in project management, delivery and release planning and launch activity.
  • Are highly organised with great attention to detail.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Believe that tradies do important work and that supporting them to success is an awesome job.
  • Want to do work that improves other people’s lives, but also believe it should be fun.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document ideas, plans and detailed specifications.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to new ideas required in a diverse, fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
  • Organisation and analytic skills, with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Great people skills (you’ll know how to communicate with team members and have some fun).
  • Above all you must be excited about joining a world-class team building a global business doing something amazing.
  • Decision-Making Autonomy: Comfortable making high-level decisions with limited direction, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Tactical intelligence as a skill is the ability to strategically apply knowledge, skills, and resources to achieve specific, short- to medium-term objectives in real-time, often in dynamic or high-pressure situations.

Tradify is a fast-paced, action-oriented and sometimes unpredictable and challenging work environment, where our company values underpin everything we do. We focus on providing a fun and welcoming culture and offer a comprehensive remuneration and benefits package.
