Perform routine and STAT EKGs apply Holter monitor and performs pacemaker interrogations. Various office duties. Work as Monitor tech as needed. The preceding procedures are performed on adult inpatients and outpatients. EKGs may be performed on children. He or She must have critical thinking skills and able to past the basic EKG interpretation exam prior to being hired. After which the candidate must complete the telemetry monitor tech class post 3 months of employment. The Tele/EKG tech must continue education for Tele/EKG interpretation via 3 levels of learning sessions skills. The EKG/TELEMETRY tech job is critical and requires the ability to have critical thinking skill.
