Technical Delivery Manager

Unstructured is making it possible for organizations to continuously collect their human-generated data and use it in conjunction with LLMs to power a range of workflows. We make it effortless to connect to any in-house or third party models and deliver that data to any downstream location.  Unstructured’s open source package has been downloaded more than 20 million times, and is used by more than 50k companies, including nearly half of the Fortune 500.  In the last two quarters thousands of users have signed up for Unstructured’s commercial product with several thousand currently on the waitlist for our ETL platform. 


Unstructured is a rising, cutting-edge technology start-up developing innovative solutions for processing and extracting insights from unstructured data to drive generative artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery/Engagement Manager to join the delivery team and contribute significantly to Unstructured’s success.


You will be responsible for managing complex customer engagements and delivering programmatic and customer success in close collaboration with colleagues across Unstructured. Your ability to optimize delivery processes, drive customer enablement, and translate business needs into technical solutions will be key to success in this role.


Location: High preference for Sacramento/Bay Area


Key Responsibilities:


Delivery Management: Own overall responsibility for delivering successful customer engagements from short, focused POCs to multi-year enterprise contracts, ensuring business objectives and contractual requirements are met. 

Delivery Optimization: Help define and iteratively improve our overall delivery motion, including developing metrics and playbooks to evaluate and enhance delivery success.

Customer Enablement: Use deep knowledge of Unstructured’s capabilities and customer needs to drive adoption and usage of Unstructured’s applications.

Customer Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.

Cross-functional Collaboration: 

-Partner with colleagues across Unstructured to further overall company success.

-Work closely with the solutions engineers responsible for technical delivery.

-Partner with account executives (AEs) to ensure seamless handoffs between pre-sales activities and post-sales implementations.

-Help our product and engineering teams build tools customers love by gathering and advocating for customer requirements.

-Work with marketing to facilitate customer testimonials and case studies


Required Skills and Experience:


-5+ years of success leading complex customer engagements, as a technical delivery manager, technical program manager, deployment strategist or a similar role.

-Demonstrated success driving delivery and user adoption of technical products.

-Experience with Python, Kubernetes, CLI deployments, and SDLC best practices

-Excellent interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and articulate technical solutions and value propositions to non-technical stakeholders.

-Interest and success working in a fast-paced, fluid environment with both relative independence and as a member of small teams.

-Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

-A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and record of owning problems end-to-end.

-Willingness to travel up to 25%.


Preferred Skills and Experience:


-Strong technical background to understand and meet customer needs.

-Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and applications, including LLM-powered applications.

-Experience with both SaaS products and especially on-prem deployments.

-IT Consulting or IT Delivery experience working in a customer facing role

-Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

-Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.)
